There are a huge range of options available. The critical thing is that they meet the swimming pool fencing regulations.
Fences can range from glass that creates an uninterrupted view of the pool and beyond through to a wooden paling fence, which can act as pool, fence, a wind break and privacy screen
The most common used type of fencing is power coated aluminium. This is designed specifically designed for pool surrounds and measures just over 1.2m high to meet regs, has matching self closing gates with correct latching systems.
This is available in range of colours to match/contrast surroundings. The most popular colour is black as this this tends to disappear into the background and is the most unobtrusive colour. Bespoke fencing can also be made and used which can make a nice ornate area.
However one thing to keep in mind is that it must meet the regulations exactly with no compromise/exceptions allowed.
Although the pool fencing will be inspected before the pool is signed off by council when the pool is installed the is the owners responsibility to make sure the pool fencing is kept to standard at all times.
